Since its establishment almost 25 years ago, Make-A-Wish® Ireland has granted the wishes of over 2,000 children. These children are facing challenges that most people would find difficult to imagine and that’s why Make-A-Wish believes all young people need to experience the magic of having their one true wish granted. Discover some of the wishes that have already been granted.
Grace the Novelist
Grace, aged 9, is fighting blood cancer and wished to have her very own book published. Through generous donations and the Make-A-Wish team, Grace's dream became a reality.
Wish mum Miriam recently told Make-A-Wish: "Make-A-Wish is able to help children right now and they give something concrete that helps the child stay positive."
Meet Electroman and his side-kick, Spark Girl! Felix , aged 7, is living with a rare blood disorder.
His wish was granted when he was transformed into Electroman for the day. Make-A-Wish delves into a child’s imagination for their truest wish, these range from flying in the air like a superhero, fighting baddies as a ninja princess, meeting a life-long hero or even walking with dinosaurs.
Florence, aged 4, is fighting liver cancer. She wished to be a princess!
Our Your donation will help the Make-A-Wish team go above and beyond to grant very special wishes to very special children; their dreams made a reality at a time when they need it most. Because a child's life shouldn't be about illness, hospitals and diagnosis - it should be about wonder, joy and hope.
Chloe, aged 17, is living with Von Hippel Lindau Syndrome. She wished to have a confidence-boosting makeover.
Each magical wish that comes true empowers children and teenagers with life-threatening medical conditions to fight harder against their illnesses. When they are granted a wish, they get more than just a great experience for a day, two days or a week. That experience improves the quality of life for them and their entire family.
