Harrods Press Evening
Harrods requested us to select 12 pieces from our new collection for AW11 and so we chose pieces we considered to be the most high end and luxury options; suitable for the ‘Harrods’ customer and that would appeal most strongly to the top tier press. This included pieces from the Hope and Signature collections as well as the new grey leather, black ceramic and rose gold plate Phoebe watch and the yellow gold and rose gold Selene watches. We wanted to show the ‘Harrods exclusive’ gold FEED bracelet but unfortunately the sample was not ready in time for this event.
We had excellent positioning at the event as we were the first two cabinets to be on display as guests walked in. This meant we were able to see who was arriving and take the opportunity to talk to them but could also catch anyone we had missed as they were leaving. It was very busy with an exceptional attendance from some great journalists and stylists.
It was a great opportunity to meet the new Senior Press Officer at Harrods and also to see the offerings from some of our competitor brands such as Monica Vinader, Carolina Bucci and Annouschka. Carolina Bucci and Monica Vinader both had a very strong collection of friendship bracelets/stacking woven bracelets.
Our collections were extremely well received and we talked to key press contacts about the FEED collaboration and generated a lot of interest in this story. The most popular items from our display were the Hope pendants and Hope rings. Also there were lots of comments on the metallic skull bracelet.
