The Story of the British Robin

Edited - November 10th, 2016

An Age-Old Tradition

Red breasted robins have traditionally been a part of the British holiday season. The winter birds are said to spread festive cheer and can be heard singing midnight carols by London street lamps.

Delivering Holiday Joy

The first Christmas cards were delivered by Victorian postmen called, "Robins", for their red uniforms worn while making deliveries. The British robin has ever since been illustrated as the bearers of festive cheer and holiday gifts.
